A trek up the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, the world’s 7th tallest and its highest free standing peak was an appropriate choice to celebrate the 75th anniversary of ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation).

Setting off on 5th sept via the Marangu route, Flightlink’s Sales and Marketing officer Elias Frank was one of a party of 22, representing stakeholders from across Tanzania.

The expedition was led by the Director General of Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA), Hamza Johari, escorted by Vallery Chamulungu, the Company Secretary of the Tanzanian Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA), and Burlhan Majaliwa, Chief Aviation Security (TCAA).

Flightlink’s Elias Frank was 1 of the 9 who managed to reach Uruhu Peak, and was happy to raise the Flightlink banner on the top of Africa. Elias completed the usual trek in 4 days! “It was challenging”, Elias commented, adding “It was really great to take part in this event, and to represent Flightlink on the top of Kilimanjaro.”
