There are six official routes that you can take, and they vary in time from 5 to 10 days depending on where you go. There is less that is known about Mt. Meru, but this is the location to hike if you want to see the best variety of animals the countryside has to offer. There are many other mountains as well that you can choose from.
Even hikers who are not planning to go to the summit will love Tanzania, as it is one of those places that will allow you to appreciate the majesty and the beauty of everything around. There is an amazing 3-to-5-day trek as well that can be taken through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. There are breathtaking views along the entire journey and there are so many things to do that will leave you very happy with your choices.
